Lapstory turns your family’s stories into picture books for young children. Every story is checked before a single picture is drawn.

What we don’t create

• Sexual content of any kind
• Violence, cruelty, or weapons used to hurt
• Self-harm or dangerous acts
• Hate or harassment
• Real public figures, or content that mocks or harms a real person
• Illegal activity or drugs
• Content meant to frighten young children
• Advertising, or text that is not a family story
• Attempts to get around these rules

Superheroes and princesses

Famous characters and brands belong to their owners. Your child can love superheroes and princesses, and their words stay in the story, but our illustrations show your child in their own original outfit, never a trademarked character, costume or logo.

AI, photos and recordings

Illustrations and narration are created with AI. We never ask for photos of your child. Your recording is deleted as soon as it has been turned into text.

When a story can’t be made

We may decline or stop a book that breaks this policy, and we’ll explain why so you can tell it a little differently. Repeated attempts can lead to account suspension.
